Public Clocks
No: 242   Contributor: John Southall   Year: 2013   Country: United Kingdom
Ornate surround

Taken 6/7/2013 at the Crich National Tramway Museum, UK

This clock has now been at the museum for several years having been rescued from probable scrapping after it was thrown away at the Derby Indoor Market.
Although the dial says "Johnson - Derby" several of the mechanism parts are actually marked John Smith. So it is thought the Johnson had the contract to supply and fit the clock no one knows how much of it he actually made.
